Anger Management
Often the underlying cause of anger is fear, feeling a sense of loss of power or loss of control. Most are able to cope with anger for a certain amount of time and try to find a way to release the tension.
But some are unable to control or decompress anger and they express anger in a verbally and/or physically aggressive way to others or against themselves, which affects their own health and well-being, and the well-being of others as well.
Uncontrolled anger can cause problems with relationships, school, work and even the law. Domestic Violence – violent or threatening behaviour within the home – for example, is a serious consequence of uncontrolled anger.
Many times standard tricks like deep breathing, drinking water, counting to ten, etc. fail to calm down the intense anger. This is because the brainwave patterns are governing the feelings, emotions and reactions. This is where neurofeedback steps in.
With neurofeedback, the anger patterns can be interrupted and the Brain can be trained to form new neural pathways and patterns, When the root cause is addressed, the intensity and episodes of anger outbursts reduce drastically.
